Luke Combs Takes Onstage Tumble

May 22, 2024 - News

Last Thursday, 16 May, you may have noticed that Luke Combs wasn’t at this year’s ACM Awards. Where was he? Performing to a sold-out crowd at Levi’s Stadium in California.

While getting into Beer Never Broke My Heart, Combs began walking down the stage platform when he slipped and fell over. Although fan concern was immediate, Combs threw his arms in the air and made the “safe” motion one would make during a baseball game.

Combs got up without needing any help and wasn’t injured by the fall. You can watch the footage of the slip below.

The popular singer isn’t the only country singer (or the only Luke) to fall on stage in recent times. Luke Bryan slipped on a phone thrown onstage during his set at Coast City Country Festival last month.

Laughing the major mishap off, the Country Girl singer stood up and immediately asked the crowd, “Did anybody get that?”

Before showing his audience a recap of the fall, Bryan turned to the fan who caused the incident, throwing them their phone and telling them, “It’s okay”.

He didn’t let them off too quickly, jokingly quipping, “My lawyer will be calling.”

Last week, Luke Combs released his song for the upcoming Twisters movie, Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma. The new song from Combs is an epic country-rock tune specially written for the film and highlights Combs’ storytelling abilities in a whole new fashion.

Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma is the first song on the soundtrack for Twisters, with the album also featuring Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Tyler Childers, Shania Twain with BRELAND, Charley Crockett, and many more.

Twisters serves as a standalone sequel to the 1996 film Twister. The original became a cult classic, featuring stars Helen HuntJami Gertz, the late Bill Paxton, and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, and following the storyline of two storm chasers facing the brink of death to create an advanced weather alert system.

The 2024 release follows a similar premise, as Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones and Top Gun: Maverick’Glen Powell storm chase some violent tornadoes in Oklahoma with the help of a tornado intercept vehicle.
