The Internet Is In Love With “Cruel” Sorority Girl Pictured At Trump Inauguration Party: “Make America Hot Again”

Anna Claire Howland

America’s golden age indeed.

It’s been a little over a week since President Donald Trump was inaugurated, and the media is trapped in a near-daily cycle of melting down over…well, pretty much everything.

One of those meltdowns this week came in the form of a hit piece from New York Magazine, which ran an article titled “The Cruel Kids’ Table” criticizing the “young, confident, and casually cruel Trumpers” who “have their sights set on America,” whatever that means.

The point of the article was to paint these young Trump supporters as a threat to America, claiming that almost everybody in the room was white – while conveniently cropping out the black Trump supporters just out of frame in the cover photo.

Typical. Misleading from the media, but unfortunately not surprising.

But after the photo was posted on Twitter, it seems that one girl in particular got everybody’s attention:

The internet blew up with people who fell in love with the young lady in the black and white dress:

Well if you’ve been on the internet, you probably know how this story ends: People were quickly able to identify the mysterious young Trump supporter as Anna Claire Howland, a 21-year old junior at Southern Methodist University who is majoring in psychology at SMU.

Howland, who is originally from Mountain Brook, Alabama, has served as president of her chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority since January 2024, and said in a post to the sorority’s Instagram (which has since been made private) that she plans to attend law school after graduation.

And after she was identified as the bombshell in the MAGA party photo, it seems like Howland probably has a future in political media if she wants to go that route.

The sorority girl hasn’t commented on her viral fame, but hopefully if she chooses to capitalize on it, she does a better job than the Hawk Tuah girl…

But then again, maybe it’s best that she just waits until everything dies down.

Lotta creeps out there.

Of course I’m pretty sure this isn’t why New York Magazine had in mind when they wrote the article, but after reading through it I can safely say it was the most interesting thing about the hit piece that seemed to take issue with the fact that young people are now supporting Trump in record numbers.

The author seemed almost upset that there were so many gay people at the party embracing Trump, calling the event “an obnoxious victory lap” and “evidence that the youngest, most online members of Trump’s party have acquired his knack for turning the culture wars into something as entertaining as reality TV.”

It’s definitely a sign of the culture shift that we saw during the 2024 presidential campaign, which saw President Trump sit down with non-traditional media sources like podcasters and YouTubers, names like Joe Rogan and Theo Von, and tap into a new generation of supporters that Democrats have traditionally considered as safe votes for their candidates.

And while the New York Magazine may not like it, the rest of the internet has fallen in love with the folks they’re trying to slander.
