Lainey Wilson gave “Love Story” a bluegrass treatment Monday night, performing the Taylor Swift song at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala at Music City Center. Fiddle and stand-up bass accompanied her rendition during the October 26 celebration.
Wilson’s appearance was part of the evening’s recognition of Swift, who entered the Hall of Fame’s 2026 class. Rather than recreating the original recording, Wilson performed an arrangement that brought acoustic country instrumentation to the forefront.
