Luke Combs continues to treat his international audience to new music.
The country music star started out his 2025 by taking his talents “down under,” playing a total of eight shows in Australia and New Zealand. He’s already through six of the tour dates, with only two shows left in Melbourne to play, as you can see in the post that the “Beautiful Crazy” singer shared back in September.

Combs has been able to connect with his worldwide audience during the shows, and based on everything we’ve seen, it looks like both parties are having the time of their lives. It might help that the international audience has been treated to new music almost every single night Luke has played – if not every single night.
One of the first unreleased songs that we got a sneak peak of was a track that’s supposedly called “Ain’t No Cowboy.” And let me tell you… it’s a certifiable Luke Combs heart breaker. The lyrics tell the story of a man who didn’t do enough to keep his woman around, and the crowd loved it:
“Ain’t no cowboy, but I wish I was
We would’ve rode off together
In the setting sun
Instead of watching her
Ride right out of my mind
If I could have roped her heart back
I could have been what she needed when
She saddled up, and she kicked up a pile a dust
Ain’t no cowboy
But now I wish I was”

One new song shared during the Australia and New Zealand show would have been enough, but Luke Combs didn’t stop there.
The North Carolina native took to his social media to share a video of his performance in Brisbane, Australia, this time debuting a song called “Pushin’ Up Daisies.” This proved to be yet another emotional ballad, this time telling the story of a man who walked away from a life-threatening car accident, and being able to live the life that was almost taken away from him:
“That Trooper said, ‘I don’t know how you walked away
Boy, you’re lucky, this sure could have gone the other way.’
Now, oooooh, all the life I would’ve missed out on
Kids screaming, ‘Daddy’s back home’
And growing old with their mom
Oooooh, I don’t miss my wild and crazy
Out here picking wildflowers for my baby
Instead of pushin’ up daisies.”

Ready for one more?
To be honest, this last one that Luke Combs shared (he’s still got two shows left so we could very well hear another unreleased song next week) is my personal favorite of all that he’s shared on his international tour. This one is called “Wish Upon A Whiskey,” and you can go ahead and add it to the list of alcohol-related staples that Luke Combs’ catalogue boasts.
It’s somewhat of a somber message, but the unreleased song showcases the country singer’s signature songwriting. The premise? What else can you wish upon when everything you’ve tried to put your hope in falls flat?
“I gave up on a shooting star
it’d have to fall down way to far to fix this kind of feeling that I’m feelin’
I tried the back pew of that church
read every chapter, every verse, but all my prayers they always hit the ceiling
So I do the only thing that don’t make me feel empty
Pull that bottle out and wish upon a whiskey.”
Been playing a new one in each city overseas. Here’s “Wish Upon a Whiskey” from Sydney, Australia. Hope y’all dig it! pic.twitter.com/bGmBSdB9XU

You all thinking what I’m thinking? Luke Combs sure seems to be sitting on an interesting collection of unreleased music… could we see all of these above (and some other songs we haven’t heard yet) find their way onto a new album in 2025? Looks like I need to “Wish Upon a Whiskey” for it to happen…
