Swifties are obviously one of the most passionate groups of fans that an artist could hope for, but man are they insane sometimes. Just this past week, fans of Taylor Swift accused Morgan Wallen of copying her song “Anti-Hero” for the name of his upcoming album and tour I’m The Problem, and also claimed that Taylor somehow invented the concept of double albums (which go back decades). And many of them were also rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs to lose to the Buffalo Bills in the NFL playoffs just so that Taylor’s boyfriend, star Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, could attend the Grammy Awards with her next weekend…instead of having to prepare for the Super Bowl.

Like I said, pretty insane and definitely not a healthy relationship for fans to have with some billionaire who doesn’t even know they exist.

And another example of just how insane Swifties can be is their criticism over her friendship with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Brittany and Taylor had seemingly become close friends, since their significant others are the biggest stars on the Chiefs. The two were often spotted sharing a box and celebrating together at Chiefs games, and the two couples even spent time together away from football at dinners and parties.

Of course Brittany has received her fair share of criticism in the past for her actions, like spraying champagne on fans from her suite and hanging out with Patrick’s annoying little attention whore of a brother, Jackson Mahomes. But apparently none of that mattered to Swifties until they found out that Brittany was a Trump supporter.

It all started last year when Brittany liked a post from then-candidate Donald Trump on Instagram. Of course Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, so her fans (who are mostly liberal themselves) weren’t happy that Swift would be friends with…a Trump supporter.

The horror.

The outrage really hit a fever pitch after Swift’s endorsement of Harris, when President Trump took aim at the pop star with a post on his Truth Social platform:

But it didn’t seem to affect the friendship between the two women, who were seen sitting together and hugging each other at the US Open last fall (which once again upset the Swifties, but what doesn’t at this point?)

And over the past few weeks, Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes, who recently gave birth to her third child with her husband, have been cheering on their men as they led the Chiefs to their third consecutive Super Bowl.

Kansas City punched their ticket to New Orleans this past weekend with a win over the Buffalo Bills. And after the game, Taylor and Brittany were spotted embracing each other on the field as the team celebrated, with Taylor appearing to tell Brittany that she “kept her calm” during the team’s playoff run:

A nice moment between two supportive significant others, right?

Well I’m sure you can see where this is going by now: Swifties once again just can’t get over the fact that their hero is friends with a Trump supporter:

Imagine that.

I am begging these people, please touch grass. I’m sure Taylor knows more about Brittany than anybody on the internet does anyway.
