Ernest Has Fans Fired Up Over Possible Collab With Post Malone & Texas Rapper BigXthaPlug: “Boys Are Cooking”

Already cooking up something new?

Today, Ernest shared a photo on Instagram from the studio, with some familiar faces including Post Malone and producer Charlie Handsome (Ryan Vojtesak, who notably works with Morgan Wallen), as well as BigXthaPlug and producer BANDPLAY from the rap world.

Of course, Ernest was a big part of Posty’s debut country album last year F-1 Trillion in terms of writing, and he was also featured on the song “Devil I’ve Been.” He also put out his own record Nashville, Tennessee, but he’s been teasing new stuff coming soon, from a cover of Kris Kristofferson’s hit “Help Me Make It Through The Night,” and a song with Snoop Dogg called “Gettin’ Gone.”

Yeah, he’s clearly playing around with some very contrasting styles, but it seems like that might be a continuing theme on his next project judging by the aforementioned photo with Post and BigXthaPlug, who is also from Dallas.

You can see them in the studio drinking beer and probably having a grand old time:

Ernest actually got his start rapping before going full-on country, starting out as a writer on hits like Morgan Wallen’s “You Proof,” “Everything I Love,” “More Than My Hometown,” “Somebody’s Problem,” “Wasted On You” and more.

It seems like we’re in for something really different with some of these new songs, and I’m certainly intrigued to hear it:

I can only assume these three might be collabing on something, which would make sense especially with Post being included, as he’s someone who had massive success in the rap and pop world before transitioning into country music last year to much success, as well.

Fans seemed excited about the prospect of their song in the comments section:
