CNN Freaks Out Over Elon Musk Changing His Name On X To “Harry Bolz”

Not a fan of Harry Bolz, eh?

We’re less than a month into President Donald Trump’s second term, and it seems that the media and Democrats have already found somebody they dislike more than the president himself: Elon Musk.

The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of Twitter (I still have a hard time calling it X) has played a major role in the early weeks of Trump’s administration. On day one, the president appointed Musk to head up the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, a new department that sought to find and eliminate wasteful spending and government overreach while reducing the size of government.

Naturally this upset a lot of government employees because Musk is basically pointing out that their jobs are useless, and Democrats are particularly outraged by the decision from the administration to shut down USAID.

The United States Agency for International Development, which had a budget of over $40 billion and was tasked with administering foreign aid all around the world, became a top target for Musk and DOGE after some of their wasteful spending was identified, like $20 million to create an Iraqi Sesame Street and $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala.

Ridiculous, right?

Anyway, the media and Democrats (same thing, right?) have been attacking Musk nonstop since his team got started, seeking to identify those working with Musk on DOGE and tracking down one team member as a 19-year old who went by “Big Balls” in online forums.

Bombshell, right? What a scandal. Right up there with Watergate, Benghazi, and who left the cocaine in the Biden White House.

Well as everybody on the left was melting down over Mr. Balls, Musk decided to have some fun with it and do a little trolling of his own:

And you may have noticed the name on that tweet…yes, it’s really Elon’s account, but this morning he decided to change his name on the platform he owns to “Harry Bōlz.”

I’ll admit, I had to do a double take to make sure it was really Elon when I first saw it, but it is in fact one of the richest and most powerful men in the world going by the name “Harry Bolz” on social media. What a time to be alive.

Elon also updated his bio to advertise “circumcisions at a discount, now 50% off,” a reference to USAID spending on circumcisions in other countries.

One of the things USAID was doing was offering free circumcisions throughout the world, but charging US taxpayers ridiculously high prices!

And while Elon seems to be having fun with the bit and his new name, CNN predictably wasn’t a fan of the joke.

During a report this morning, Dana Bash was forced to call Elon by his new moniker while discussing his Twitter account – something Elon appeared to get a kick out of:

You’ve got admit, it’s pretty hilarious hearing all these people who claim to be serious journalists freaking out and reporting on people like “Big Balls” and “Harry Bolz.”

Fox News, on the other hand, decided to remove Musk’s screen name entirely from their report on one of his posts:
