Swifties Call For Taylor Swift To Dump Travis Kelce After He Says It’s “A Great Honor” That President Trump Is Coming To The Super Bowl

Careful Travis, the Swifties might turn on you.

Since the beginning of their relationship, fans of Taylor Swift have been quick to stand up for Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and praise him for the respect and admiration that he shows to the pop superstar – even appearing on stage with her at one of her Eras Tour concerts last summer.

Of course it’s a little weird that these people think they know anything about somebody’s relationship based on what they see in the media and on TV, but hey, that’s how Swifties roll. They’re convinced that they’re besties with Swift despite the fact that she doesn’t even know they exist.

Swifties have embraced the Kansas City Chiefs as Taylor often shows up at the games to support her boyfriend, and many are even convinced that a proposal is coming at some point during this year’s Super Bowl when the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.

But he may have just caused the Swifties to change their mind about whether or not he’s a suitable match for their idol…

It was announced this week that President Donald Trump is expected to attend the game as a guest of New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson. And of course, Trump and Swift have their own history…and it’s safe to say they’re not really fans of each other.

During the presidential campaign last year, Swifties were upset at Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes who Swift has seemingly become close friends with since she started dating Travis, after Brittany liked a post of Trump’s on Instagram.

Swift had supported Joe Biden in the 2020 election, and her fanbase of young, liberal-leaning girls are obviously not Trump supporters themselves. So apparently the thought of Swift being friends with a Trump supporter was just too much for them to handle.

Things got even worse after Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, and Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that he “hates” Taylor Swift, while also saying that he likes Brittany Mahomes better anyway:

Well Trump wasn’t kidding about seeing Patrick and Brittany at the Super Bowl, and now that both Swift and Trump are going to be in attendance, Kelce was asked his thoughts on the president attending the big game.

His answer was pretty neutral politically, kind of just a stock statement about what an honor it was to have the president at the game no matter who it was:

“That’s awesome. It’s a great honor, I think, no matter who the president is. I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world.”

I mean, what else was he supposed to say? He’s never really talked politics before (though he’s received criticism in the past from conservatives for appearing in a Pfizer ad promoting the COVID vaccine), so there was zero chance he was going to use the opportunity to bash Trump, regardless of what the president has said about his girlfriend in the past.

But Swifties apparently weren’t satisfied with his answer, and some even called on Taylor to dump him for saying it was an “honor” to have the president at the Super Bowl.

No, really.

Totally normal reaction to a pretty lame answer.
