Miranda Lambert Show Goes To The Dogs

May 7, 2024 - News

Miranda Lambert is officially hosting some performances for man’s best friend: dogs.

On Saturday, 5 October, Miranda Lambert will headline a benefit show at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheatre to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the nonprofit MuttNation Foundation, which she co-founded alongside her mother, Bev Lambert. Billed as Miranda Lambert & Friends, more acts will be announced soon.

The work the MuttNation Foundation does for dogs is essential, with Mutts Across America annually sending surprise grants to one US state.

The Foundation also highlights the importance of neutering and spaying dogs, encourages the fostering and adoption of older dogs, dogs with disabilities, pit mixes, and giant breeds (as part of the Love Harder project), crowdfunding for people in the entertainment industry who need help with medical bills for their pets, Relief For Rescues, and more.

Since co-founding the MuttNation Foundation in 2009, the organisation has raised nearly $10 million USD to support the welfare and adoption of dogs across the US.

You can find out more about their work on the MuttNation website.

“I wanted to do something special to celebrate MuttNation’s 15th anniversary and thought sharing an evening of great music with some great friends that will also feature lots of mutts would be about as much fun as anything I could imagine,” Lambert commented in a statement, via Billboard.

“We’ll have an adoption event and lots of other activities — and just make it a big party. I hope everyone will come out and party with us.”

Tickets to the event go on sale on Friday, 10 May, at 10 am CT via the Live Nation website.

Last week, Lambert dropped her new single, Wranglers, a rocking song about empowerment and a woman who takes her power back.

The single marks her first release through a newly inked deal with Republic Records, while Nashville’s Big Loud controls the country radio promotion and marketing efforts of her future music.
